This effect is an improved (but more complexive) modification of delay. There are 3 bandpass filters for 3 delay times for each channel.
You can set different delay times for each frequency band to get complexive reflections of sound. All these settings are separate for each channel to get stereo effects.
Echo allows you to significantly improve perception of recorded voice or instrumental solo (guitar, saxophone, piano etc.) being processed by it.
