VTZ - software for VideoTizer video capture boards

Live video in a window is implemented software-only, so any VGA card can be used. A proprietary algorithm of synchronization with input video is used when video data is saved to hard disk, this allows to capture a video fragment of any length in several passes. Note, that the VTR is then operating in "play" mode, not in "stop-frame" mode.

Features of the program are:

• User-friendly interface with pop-up toolboxes
• DCI and DirectDraw are used for video in window - this makes it as fast as the VGA card allows
• A facility to choose any of the last several frames shown, when the frame-by-frame (manual) mode is used
• Ability to capture and save to disk full-size full-color video without compression or frame drops in several passes, with synchronization to the input code or to the input image
• Automatic operation with VTRs Panasonic AG5700 and Sony Betacam Sp
• Synchronized sound capture in a separate pass
• Video fragments can be saved as an AVI file or a sequence of images in any of the formats: BMP, TGA, RGB (SGI), TIF.

System Requirements

• IBM PC with either Windows 95, Windows NT or Windows 3.XX with Win32s
• VideoTizer video capture board
