Technical specifications:

The software (DDFilmer) makes the compression and facilitates an assembly of the video from fragments, which are stored as a sequence of TGA files, a FLI file or other. During the playback, the compressed video data is read from the hard disk(s) and through the memory into the PHOENIX board. The latter decompresses the data in real time and passes the videosignal onto an RGB-monitor and/or through the coder into a VCR and/or TV-monitor. High speed data transfer is provided by a fast computer bus, fast adapters, and use of the host computer RAM as the video data transfer buffer.
