Space Station MIR - full-functioned methodical VR system to perfect docking skills

The purpose of it is to provide means for astronauts to get acquainted with the process of docking of a space ship to a module of space station MIR.

It is not the main system to train astronauts docking. Our large systems (Albatros) are used for that. This one is intended rather for preliminary training, or as a methodical tool.

System Requirements

• Pentium-60 or higher
• 8 Megabytes of memory
• Mouse
• DOS 5.0 or higher or Windows95. When Windows95 is used, DOS mode is strongly recommended

This model is not a stand-alone system - it can connect through the network to the system of dynamics modelling which is responsible for the station physical behavior. The dynamics modelling was made at the Russian Cosmonauts Training Centre

The visual model itself is a detailed model of MIR space station, with visual aiming system and an Earth surface imitation.

A version of the model, with limited functionality, is available as a demo .

Limitations of the demo:

• It has no ability to connect to the dynamics modelling system over the network. It is controlled by mouse.

The demo is not intended as a demonstration version of the product you can buy. That is, we do not sell this particular MIR model. But we can make a similar VR product for you, to meet your particular needs.
