Professional car driving simulator

The purpose of this project, made in conjunction with Darim Co., Korea , is to design a training complex that will allow to teach professional car driving.

The complex will consist of a dynamical cockpit, a system of dynamics modelling and a real-time visual modelling system which we design for the complex.
The visual modelling system is Pentium-based and provides a resolution of 640x480. Features include textures, fog, gouraud, opacity - all that together provides very realistic appearance.
There will be three different models, to address the three stages of the learning curve:

Training course.
City route with traffic - both head and going the same way, proper signboards, road marking, lighting system. A real fragment of Seoul has been chosen as the route.
Country road with different types of pavement and without.

The system is intended for a wide use. Also the lightweighted version is going to be out on a CD, for desktop computer use, as a methodical tool for novice drivers.

System Requirements

Pentium-133 or higher
16 Megabytes of RAM
Mouse
DOS 5.0 or higher or Windows95. When Windows95 is used, DOS mode is strongly recommended

A demo version of the visual subsystem is available here . Note: it has less memory requirements.

Limitations of the demo:

It has no ability to connect to the dynamics modelling system over the network. It is controlled by mouse.
It is not the whole route, but one fragment.
